Bomb the Bass is an electronic music alias of English musician and producer Timothy Simenon. As a name, Bomb the Bass came from Simenon's approach to collaging and mixing sounds whilst DJing in the mid- to late 1980s; he says "samples were either scratched in live or sampled and looped on top of the rhythm section.
With ‘Beat Dis’, Bomb The Bass helped mould late 1980s acid house. Tim Simenon, has led the group through a number of different incarnations. More recently Bomb The Bass have settled as a duo, vocalist Paul Conboy providing lyrical complements to Simenon’s productions.
Just as important were his many collaborations with a surprising range of artists: J. Saul Kane, Jah Wobble, Sinéad O'Connor, Hector Zazou, On-U Sound—even actress Minnie Driver turned up in the mix. Tim Simenon was a producer before people even paid that much attention to producers.

Bomb the Bass is an alias of English composer and record producer, Tim Simenon. Born in Brixton of Malaysian and Scottish parentage, Simenon has productions, collaborations, and remixes with a wide variety of artists including Dave Gahan and Martin Gore of Depeche Mode.
