15 de sept. de 2019 · Live footage of Daniel Ash and Kevin Haskin’s Bauhaus side project Tones on Tail is exceptionally rare, but the third and founding member of the project, Bassist and Bauhaus roadie Glenn Campling has unearthed live footage of the band performing in Scotland in 1984.
While still a member of Bauhaus, Ash formed Tones on Tail early in 1982, originally as a duo with Glenn Campling, an art school friend and flatmate who had also been a roadie for Bauhaus. The band's name was a reference to the way calibration tones were recorded on the "tail" of reel-to-reel tape.

Formed in 1982, Tones On Tail intertwined various styles and experimental noises, which truly created an otherworldly and unique experience for listeners.
Bauhaus guitarist Daniel Ash created Tones on Tail as a side project in 1982 with bassist Glen Campling, who was also a roadie for Bauhaus. When Bauhaus broke up in 1983, Ash chose to concentrate on his new group, bringing in Bauhaus drummer Kevin Haskins as well.
