Reworked sprites and maps in the style of fan-made MOTHER 4 but all keeping the original layout of EarthBound. Ability to run like in MOTHER 3. Harder difficulty mode. Additional optional bosses, side-quests, PSI abilities, items, and outfits. New game/load game/sound player (plus additional options) from main menu as in MOTHER 3.

Mother Remake. The Mother Remake aims to remake the first game in the Mother series using EarthBound’s engine. Originally started by Tomato in 2007, the project is now being continued by members of the Starmen.net forums, and is progressing smoothly. Some of this project’s goals include:
The Mother 3 GSF is already dumped as we all saw, but it’s not yet tagged or timed: meaning the names won’t show up (they’re according to the Sound Player for most part) and the tracks won’t finish properly – on my OST here, every song lasts for 2:05 minutes, even small sections like Open Sesame Oil.
It gives MOTHER 3i a run for its money, especially considering the significant hit it took from the low-quality iTunes AAC encoding. There are known issues with certain songs but in most cases the elimination of the static outweighs the majority of [minor] problems. Clone5184: Moderately Decent Source Mapper. I’m fairly certain you’re looking for an Earthbound Soundfont, as that’s the game that the sample appeared in. This is the Mother 3 Soundfont, and while it’s for a similar game, the music and sounds used are quite different. Hopefully that’ll point you in the right direction!

Nessfan304. they should make a mother 1 remake for the DS, but it doesn’t have to be just as same as the NES version was. Maybe they can put in some mini-games or something, maybe it could be a another adventure with Ninten and friends and they could call it “Mother DS” or “Mother DX”. Posted almost 17 years ago.
