The Awakening is a very intelligently-written mysterious ghost story, it’s not a typical horror film, it’s more of a combination of a a drama and a horror. I watched this originally in the cinemas in 2011 and enjoyed it, and this rewatch I had forgotten all about the twist, I had even forgotten there was one.
