Steve Walsh (born June 15, 1951) is an American singer, musician and songwriter, best known for his work as a longtime member of the progressive rock band Kansas. He retired from the band in 2014.

1 de jun. de 2022 · The vocalist, keyboardist, and guitarist John Elefante joined Kansas in February 1982 as Walsh’s replacement. They then worked with Elefante up until their disbandment in 1984. However, Kansas later decided to reunite in 1986 and recruited Walsh as their lead singer.
17 de oct. de 2023 · In 2014 Kansas co-founder Steve Walsh bowed to the inevitable and left the band. He’d been lead singer for almost their entire existence and so left a huge gap in the line-up. In 2016, they told Prog how they’d filled it and returned with The Prelude Implicit, their first album of the 21st century.
As a guest vocalist, Steve Walsh has appeared on numerous other artists' recordings. Kansas (who had obtained a different vocalist, John Elefante) split in 1984, but reformed in 1985 with Walsh back on board.
