Corpses are bodies of dead Creatures and Humans. Some of them can be sold to NPCs, others can be skinned, while others - which are Daily Respawns, thus not decaying - used as decoration. As a general rule corpses which are larger than 1 square or 32 x 32 pixels can not be carried.

As someone who is new to Tibia, I wouldn't have known that retrieving my items is tied to body decay. It makes sense though, but it would have been nice to see this information explained clearly on the Dying section of the wiki maybe.
Track all deaths that happen in the Tibia game in real time. Find out if any bosses were encountered today. Track a PVP war and see how many kills each player got.
Check if there are any deaths that may be related to the newest death shown by the tool – it can help you to find the body. Take the player’s level and home town into consideration, too. For example: free account player from Venore dies by the valkyrie.
In Tibia, you will die when your healthpoints runs out. Not everything is lost though. The Gods will grant you another chance for a small sacrifice and you can be revived in your hometown's temple. If you ever die, you can still see your dead body for few seconds, before the "Select Character menu" will appear.
I found a chest in someones house with 6 dead bodies, I put them on the floor and now they can't be put back in the chest or be picked up. Is there a bug to get items you can't pick up in to containers?
