Meanwhile, Luke travels with R2-D2 in his X-wing fighter to Dagobah, where he crash-lands. He meets Yoda, a diminutive creature who reluctantly accepts him as his Jedi apprentice after conferring with Obi-Wan's spirit.
21 de mar. de 2014 · On entering Dagobah's atmosphere, Luke's X-wing immediately loses all sensors. Luke quickly engages the "Landing Cycle", and almost immediately it seems the fighter has crashed through the tree canopy, into a swamp, and come to rest without serious injury to the occupants.
In the period between ESB and ROTJ, Luke, Leia, and Lando went on a mission back to Cloud City to rescue Lobot and sabotage the Empire's gas mining operations. Luke was able to recover his X-wing while they were there.

The X-Wing was the best space superiority fighter in the Rebellion arsenal around Empire Strikes back. Most rebel cells made due with Headhunters and Y-Wings. A single X-wing is a hyperdrive capable raider, a squadron is a threat to anything less than an Star Destroyer.
