Missing data were associated with heterogeneous differences in overall survival and, in particular, with worse overall survival among patients with metastatic disease.
The NCDB is a clinical oncology database sourced from hospital registry data collected in more than 1,500 Commission on Cancer-accredited facilities. These data are used to analyze and track patients with malignant neoplastic diseases, their treatments, and outcomes.

Furthermore, we explain how these adaptations and the eventual creation of the NCDB led to the continuous improvement of cancer care and how the CoC is poised to take quality improvement to the next level.
The National Cancer Database (NCDB) continues to evolve to improve the care of the cancer patient. Over the last 30 years, the NCDB has compiled nearly 40 million patient records submitted by over 1500 hospitals across the country.
