Updated for 2021 with a killer 3-Tone Burst finish, the LTD SC-20 celebrates the 20th anniversary of influential and innovative guitarist Stephen Carpenter (Deftones) getting his first ESP Signature Series guitar. The SC-20 is a six-string model, harkening back to Stef’s early days with ESP.
He has a number of ESP/LTD signature guitar models in production, both in six, seven string and baritone models featuring the EMG-707. Carpenter also uses a new 8-String guitar built for him by ESP featuring the EMG-808X. more

Signature 8-string of Stephen Carpenter, lead guitarist of alt-metal icons Deftones for over 3 decades. Handcrafted in ESP’s Tokyo, Japan Custom Shop by ESP’s most experienced luthiers. 3-piece maple neck-through construction with alder wings offers mammoth sustain and superb resonance.
From 6- to 7- to 8-string guitars, Stephen has never been afraid to push the limits of what a guitar is meant to sound like. With an unmistakable style, he has turned to ESP since the 90’s to build guitars that meet his every need.
