The Tenth Doctor is an incarnation of the Doctor, the protagonist of the British science fiction television series Doctor Who. He is played by David Tennant in three series as well as nine specials. The character has also appeared in other Doctor Who spin-offs.
David John Tennant (né McDonald; born 18 April 1971) is a Scottish actor. He is best known for portraying the tenth incarnation of the Doctor in the sci-fi series Doctor Who (2005–2010; 2013). In 2023, he returned to the show as the fourteenth incarnation.
The role that David Tennant is perhaps best known for is that of the Doctor in the BBC Wales Sci Fi series Doctor Who. David joined the show in 2005 as the Tenth incarnation of the Time Lord and went on to achieve global success with the part.
