SPACEBOY, who now goes by SPACE BOYFRIEND, is found in his room, bedridden due to a heartbreak with SWEETHEART and in a depressed state. The SPACE PIRATES ask OMORI and friends to retrieve his SPECIAL MIXTAPE from the JUNKYARD in hopes of revitalizing SPACE BOYFRIEND.
SPACE BOYFRIEND was SWEETHEART's major love interest after her breakup with ROCOCO. They met at some point after SWEETHEART got her castle, in which they dated for a while before SWEETHEART got bored and dumped him in search of a fresh new relationship.
Space Boyfriend's appearance is obviously taken from the comic character, but like Hero, he is a sensitive leader-type. Sweetheart's story is a metaphor for how Aubrey reacted to Mari's death. Sweetheart deals with rejection by pushing everyone away.
CAPTAIN OF THE SPACE PIRATES is a quest in OMORI, serving as one of the mandatory HEADSPACE quests required for completion to progress the story. It is made available after talking to the lovesick SPACE BOYFRIEND within his house, and accepting the request to help him out.
Spaceheart is the het ship between Capt. Spaceboy and Sweetheart from the Omori fandom. Capt. Spaceboy and Sweetheart dated, and Capt. Spaceboy changed his name to "Space Boyfriend" because of this. Space Boyfriend made a Special Mixtape out of his love for Sweetheart.

Regardless of the route, Captain Spaceboy will appear after the Sweetheart boss fight to propose to her. After the two of them get married, they both fly off together. Sweetheart will subsequently divorce Captain Spaceboy; turning him from Space Husband to Space Ex-Husband.
