Dai Vernon passed away on August 21, 1992, but his influence on the world of magic continues to be felt today. As a pioneer in close-up magic and a mentor to countless magicians, his ideas, techniques, and routines remain an integral part of the magic community.
Vernon had always hoped to last a century; he didn’t quite make it. In the absence of the best available care, perhaps for both better and worse he left Los Angeles and spent the last two years living with his son, Ted, in Ramona.
27 de ago. de 2022 · Vernon spent the last three decades of his life as Magician-in-Residence at The Magic Castle in Los Angeles. During this time, he taught a huge number of incredible magicians including Ricky Jay, Doug Henning, Larry Jennings, Michael Ammar, John Carney and so many more.
