Chairface Chippendale is a recurring antagonist in the Tick comics and 1994 cartoon. Chairface first appeared in The Tick 7: The Moon Menace. He is a cunning criminal mastermind who grew up bitter and resentful about his chair-like deformity.
Chairface had a difficult life growing up, for he was unloved due to his bizarre appearance. Embittered by his lack of love, he turned to crime, amassing a massive fortune, and several villainous friends and henchmen.
The Tick attempts to thwart Chairface Chippendale's plan to commit the "Crime of the Century": using a powerful heat ray to write his name across the face of the moon.

He is formally introduced in The Tick #4, but appears as a mysterious flying figure in the background of earlier issues of that series.
