Post-Mortem is a gameplay section in Oblitus Casa that the player is taken to after being killed by one of the toons, except Inkblot Face, MickMick in Night 5, and The Corruptus in Custom Night.
This theory is going to answer 2 things: 1. MOTHER controls Post Mortem and 2. MOTHER is The Corruptus in the custom night. PART 1: Post Mortem and MOTHER. In Oblitus Casa, after you die once, you get sent to Post Mortem for a second chance of completing the night.

Compared to the later nights, this night is relatively easy and serves mainly as an introductory stage that accustoms the player to the game's mechanics, allowing the player (if new) to get used to how to survive, and to get use to the building's whereabouts.
