The 1 kilometer acceleration benchmark (also known as "1000 meter acceleration" or "standing kilometer") is one of the very fastest and longest standing acceleration benchmarks. Due to the long distance and high terminal speeds, this benchmark favors very powerful cars and motorcycles.
