Aminatta Forna, OBE, is a British writer of Scottish and Sierra Leonean ancestry. Her first book was a memoir, The Devil That Danced on the Water: A Daughter's Quest (2002). Since then she has written four novels: Ancestor Stones (2006), The Memory of Love (2010), The Hired Man (2013) and Happiness (2018).

Biografía de Aminatta Forna. Hija de padre africano y madre escocesa, es licenciada en Derecho por el University College de Londres, trabajó diez años para la BBC y ha sido periodista, locutora de radio y presentadora de televisión. Escribe en numerosos y prestigiosos periódicos y revistas.
Currently Aminatta holds the position of Director of the Lannan Center at Georgetown University and is a Professor of Creative Writing at Bath Spa University. In 2003 Aminatta established the Rogbonko Project to build a school in a village in Sierra Leone.
