Air Commodore Sir Frank Whittle, OM, KBE, CB, FRS, FRAeS (1 June 1907 – 8 August 1996) was an English engineer, inventor and Royal Air Force (RAF) air officer. He is credited with having invented the turbojet engine.

Frank Whittle fue un aviador e ingeniero aeronáutico británico, inventor del turborreactor. Patentó su motor de reacción en 1930 y fundó la empresa Power Jets Ltd, que suministró motores a la RAF y a los Estados Unidos durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial.
