Cainnech of Aghaboe (515/16–600), also known as Saint Canice in Ireland, Saint Kenneth in Scotland, Saint Kenny and in Latin Sanctus Canicus, was an Irish abbot, monastic founder, priest and missionary during the early medieval period.

Icon of St. Kenneth of Aghaboe. St Kenneth (also known as Cainnech and Canice) is one of the greatest Irish ascetics and most venerated saints in Ireland after St. Patrick and St. Brigid. He was born in c. 515/516 (according to another version, c. 525) in the province of Ulster in the north of Ireland and was the son of a famous bard.
St Canice, also known as Cainnech of Aghaboe, Caimnech, Cainnic, Canicus, Chainnigh, Kenneth, or Kenny, was monk and an abbot born in 525 AD in Glengiven, County Derry, Northern Ireland.
