Reginald James Watson AM (27 August 1926 – 8 October 2019) was an Australian television producer and screenwriter and executive. Watson was executive producer on the British soap opera Crossroads and created Australian media exports serials such as Prisoner, Neighbours, The Young Doctors and Sons and Daughters .
Reg Watson was a journalist and historian who wrote about Tasmanian history, including military, social and political aspects. He passed away in 2023 and left behind two volumes of The History of Tasmania and a blog with his opinions and insights.
