Marek Edelman (31 de diciembre de 1922 - 2 de octubre de 2009 [1] ) fue un activista político y social judío polaco, cardiólogo de profesión, conocido por su papel en el levantamiento del Gueto de Varsovia, durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial.
Marek Edelman (Yiddish: מאַרעק עדעלמאַן; 1919/1922 – October 2, 2009) was a Polish political and social activist and cardiologist. Edelman was the last surviving leader of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising .
Marek Edelman was a Bundist youth leader who co-founded and commanded the Jewish Combat Organization (ŻOB) in the Warsaw ghetto uprising of 1943. He survived the uprising and the war, became a cardiologist, and remained in Poland, where he opposed communism and Zionism.
