Claude Du Vall (or Duval) (1643 – 21 January 1670) was a French highwayman in Restoration England. He came from a family of decayed nobility, and worked in the service of exiled royalists who returned to England under King Charles II. Little else is known of his history.

8 de oct. de 2018 · Most importantly for Claude Duval in particular, he was known for his gallantry and portrayed himself as a version of Robin Hood. As Du Val’s name suggests, he was a Frenchman and was born in Normandy in 1643. Like most highwaymen, he had turned to a life of crime because of bankruptcy, which also triggered his move to England.
