Oscar Adolf Wisting (6 de junio de 1871 - 5 de diciembre de 1936) fue un explorador polar noruego. Junto con Roald Amundsen fue el primero en estar en ambos polos, en el Polo Sur en 1911 y en el Polo Norte en 1926.
Oscar Adolf Wisting (6 June 1871 – 5 December 1936) was a Norwegian Naval officer and polar explorer. Together with Roald Amundsen he was the first person to reach both the North and South Poles. [1]
A naval gunner, Oscar Wisting, was accepted on Prestrud's recommendation because he could turn his hand to most tasks. Although he had little previous experience of sledge dogs, Amundsen wrote that Wisting developed "a way of his own" with them, and became a useful amateur veterinarian.

Oscar Wisting was one of the first to reach both poles with Roald Amundsen. He also learned medicine, dentistry and plumbing with Amundsen's support, and died on board Fram in 1936.
