Mark Brandt Dayton (born January 26, 1947) is an American politician who served as the 40th governor of Minnesota from 2011 to 2019. He served as a United States Senator representing Minnesota from 2001 to 2007 and as Minnesota State Auditor from 1991 to 1995.

Mark Dayton (born January 26, 1947, in Minneapolis, Minnesota) was the Democratic governor of Minnesota from 2011 to 2019. He was first elected governor in 2010 and sworn in as Minnesota's 40th governor on January 3, 2011.
