Tokugawa Iesada ( 徳川 家定, May 6, 1824 – August 14, 1858) was the 13th shōgun of the Tokugawa shogunate of Japan. He held office for five years from 1853 to 1858. He was physically weak and was therefore considered by later historians to have been unfit to be shōgun. [1]

His reign saw many of the key events of the Bakumatsu period, including Commodore Perry's second arrival in Japan, the Convention of Kanagawa, and the Harris Treaty, and the beginnings of the factionalism and political tensions which would eventually topple the shogunate .

Tokugawa Ieyasu fue shogun durante 2 años. Después de eso tomó el título de Ogosho, es decir, shogun enclaustrado. Abdicó en favor de su hijo Hidetada, pero siguió teniendo el poder total hasta su muerte. En estos años, Ieyasu mandó reconstruir el Castillo Edo, que estaba bastante hecho mierda.
