James Sicily (born 6 January 1995) is a professional Australian rules footballer and the current captain of the Hawthorn Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL).
James Sicily is a key defender for Hawthorn and the 2023 AFL captain. He holds the club record for most marks and disposals per game, and won the Peter Crimmins Medal and the All Australian blazer in 2023.
Hawthorn captain James Sicily has been recognised for his outstanding season, receiving his maiden All Australian selection.

13 de jun. de 2023 · Hawthorn captain James Sicily will miss three games after his dangerous tackle left Brisbane star Hugh McCluggage concussed. The AFL tribunal dismissed Hawthorn's argument that Tyler Brockman contributed to the tackle and also cleared St Kilda's Dan Butler for a tackle on Sydney's Nick Blakey.
19 de mar. de 2024 · Hawthorn captain James Sicily successfully appealed his one-game suspension for kicking Essendon's Andrew McGrath in Round 1. The Tribunal rejected the AFL's argument that the kick was dangerous and could cause injury, and reduced the impact grading to low.
