The Kipper Kids were a duo composed of Martin Rochus Sebastian von Haselberg (born 20 January 1949) and Brian Routh (1948–2018), two artists known for the extreme and often comedic performance art they made together in the 1970s and after.
Argentinian-born Martin von Haselberg, along with Brian Routh, form the performance art group known as the Kipper Kids. After they met in 1970, they created a character named Harry Kipper. They have since put on shows all over the world.
The British comedy duo, originally known as the ‘Harry and Alf Kipper,’ featured two distinct characters. However, as von Haselberg and Routh often could not recollect who was “Alf”and who was “Harry,” they decided to drop the name “Alf” and started calling each other “Harry.”
