Matt McManamon, who grew up in Liverpool and moved to Ireland, talks about his musical influences, his time with The Dead 60s and his new solo project. He reveals how he regained his confidence after playing with The Specials and how the pandemic affected his plans.
Formerly of The Dead 60s and recent live guitarist for The Specials, McManamon is strongly associated with ska, punk, dub and reggae. His solo work however is more closer aligned to his Liverpool Irish roots.
