Artistic director for the project was Michael Ballhaus (3 time-Oscar Nominated Cinematographer who has worked with greats like Martin Scorsese, Mike Nichols, Francis Ford Coppola, Rainer Werner Fassbinder and Wolfgang Petersen).
The movie features a February 2009 performance from Max Raabe & The Palast Orchester in Berlin, Germany’s Admiralpalast. Faultlessly fitting tuxedo, hair slicked back, a cheeky look and Max Raabe sings the best of the 20s and early 30s with amusing nostalgia.
