Bing Xin (en caracteres chinos: 冰心; en pinyin: Bīng Xīn, nombre real Xie Wanying (謝婉瑩) (Fuzhou, 5 de octubre de 1900-Pekín, 28 de febrero de 1999) [1] fue una escritora, traductora y poeta china. Muchas de sus obras fueron escritas para jóvenes lectores.
Xie Wanying ( Chinese: 謝婉瑩; October 5, 1900 – February 28, 1999), [1] better known by her pen name Bing Xin ( Chinese: 冰心) or Xie Bingxin, was one of the most prolific Chinese women writers of the 20th century. Many of her works were written for young readers.
Bingxin was a Chinese writer of gentle, melancholy poems, stories, and essays that enjoyed great popularity. Bingxin studied the Chinese classics and began writing traditional Chinese stories as a child, but her conversion to Christianity and her attendance at an American school in Beijing soon.

Bing Xin was one of the most well-known writers of the 20th century. Her unique and influential literary style led to the birth of the “Bing Xin Style.” In fact, her work was also incorporated in many children’s literature in China, such as children’s textbooks.
Her unique style, dubbed the “Bing Xin Style” [Bing Xin ti], combines poetic expression that is prominent in classical Chinese lyricism with narrative realism in a lucid and provocative synthesis.
