Mirador is a 1997 album by the band Tarnation, which was led by Paula Frazer. It was released on 4AD in the UK and Europe, and on Reprise / Warner Bros. Records in the US. The American edition features a different album cover from the European version.
Tarnation is an American alternative country band formed by Paula Frazer in late 1992, primarily recording on the 4AD label.
Paula A. Frazer (born April 24, 1963) is an American singer-songwriter. She grew up in Georgia and Arkansas and moved to San Francisco in 1981. Her music is frequently described as melancholic alternative country, but with an eclectic mix of folk, blues and pop, among other genres.

8 de abr. de 1997 · As of Mirador, Tarnation became, for all intents and purposes, the Paula Frazer band, both for better and for worse. Frazer certainly dominated Gentle Creatures, and Matt Sullivan is not missed anywhere on Mirador, but the second album doesn't have the brilliant highs of the debut.
Singer-songwriter Paula Frazer formed the alt-country outfit Tarnation in 1992. Though based in San Francisco, the group was signed to the British 4AD label, and their moody take on country music was heavily informed by that label's signature sparse, echo-laden sound.
