24 de jun. de 2010 · Beginning, on Disc One, with a couple of singles from 1962, and a song when she belonged in DAVE GUARD AND THE WHISKEYHILL SINGERS, and another from JUDY HENSKE AND THE WHISKEYHILL QUARTET, we hear her beginnings from her early stage.
She then married Jerry Yester of the Lovin' Spoonful and they recorded "Farewell Aldebaran" for one of Frank Zappa's labels, one of the truly bizarre recordings of its time; four cuts, including a screamin' rocker, are included in this anthology.
The set opens with Henske’s first single, “That’s Enough”/”Oh Didn’t He Ramble”, released in 1962 under the name Judy Hart (produced by Jack Nitzsche, who later dubbed Henske “the Queen of the Beatniks”).
