Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of The Shirelles in 1996. When "Will You Still Love Me Tommorrow" hit #1 on the pop charts in 1960, The Shirelles became the first female group to accomplish that feat.

Ironically, the Beatles recorded two Shirelles songs—“Baby It’s You” and “ Boys”—on their debut album. The Shirelles broke up in the late 1960s but re-formed later for “oldies” shows. Remembered for their sweet, gospel-tinged harmonies, they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1996.
