Arnold Allan Cecil Keppel, 8th Earl of Albemarle, GCVO, CB, VD, TD, JP (1 June 1858 – 12 April 1942), styled Viscount Bury from 1891 to 1894, was a British soldier, courtier and Conservative politician.

1 de may. de 2022 · Lt.-Col. Arnold Allen Cecil Keppel, 8th Earl of Albemarle was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England. He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the Scots Guard. He was invested as a Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.). He was styled as Viscount Bury between 1891 and 1894.
In 1697, King William III created his Dutch favourite Arnold Joost van Keppel Earl of Albemarle in the Peerage of England. He was made Baron Ashford, of Ashford in the County of Kent, and Viscount Bury, in the County of Lancaster, at the same time. [1]

Known for his diminuitive stature, he was a close friend of the Prince of Wales.This caricature, and those of RCIN 917008 and 914270, have all traditionally been attributed to Arnold Keppel, 8th Earl of Albemarle.
This caricature, and those of RCIN 917009 and 917008, have all traditionally been attributed to Arnold Keppel, 8th Earl of Albemarle. Keppel was, however, only eight years old when this watercolour was executed, which makes his authorship seem unlikely.
