David M. Torn (born May 26, 1953) is an American guitarist, composer, and producer. He is known for combining electronic and acoustic instruments and for his use of looping.
In their studio and live recordings JBK also collaborated with Porcupine Tree frontman Steven Wilson, guitarists Rob Dean, Aziz Ibrahim, David Torn, Sugizo, Masami Tsuchiya, saxophonist Theo Travis, and vocalists Zoe Niblett, Robby Aceto among others.

Notable cohort, David Torn appears as primary guitarist on three pieces, including “The Shallow Pool” where his controlled wailing is held subtly in check. Aziz Ibrahim is primary guitarist on four other tracks, including “Red Track Dance,” where he gets to unleash an Arabic, sampled wah-wah lead.
Pasting up pieces by their guests (noise guitarist David Torn, jazz saxophonist Theo Travis, exotic fluteman Clive Bell), JBK keep the melodies strong, but scuffed up by fuzzed-up bass, looped guitar burrs and crackling radio subliminals.
