Ure, however, deserves credit for making a good album mostly on his own, with support from Mark Brzezicki, Robbie Kilgore (who had appeared on Steve Winwood’s earlier and no-doubt-influential Back In The High Life), Mick Karn and others. Fans of latter-day Ultravox will appreciate Answer’s melodies, energy and, of course, that voice.

With a little help from Craig Armstrong, Mark Brzezicki (Big Country), Mark King , Mick Karn (ex- Japan) and others, Answers to Nothing became a much more mature affair than his first solo album The Gift, which nevertheless had been a nice try and had had its moments.
