Himiltrude (c. 742 – c. 780?) was the mother of Charlemagne's first-born son Pippin the Hunchback. Some historians have acknowledged her as the wife of Charlemagne, however, she is often referred to as a concubine .

28 de abr. de 2022 · Himiltrude was the maternal great-grandmother of Lothair II of Supplinburg (1075 – 1137), the Holy Roman emperor, and was ancestress of the emperors Friedrich I Barbarossa (1155 – 1190), Heinrich VI (1190 – 1197), and Friedrich II (1220 – 1250).

A poor Frenchwoman, Himiltrude was the first of Charlemagne's nine wives. Among others, she was followed by Hildegarde of Swabia (c. 757–783), Desiderata (d. 773), Fastrada (d. 794), and Luitgarde (d. 800).
