Earth: Voices of a Planet is an album released by Paul Winter in 1990. The album was a commissioned for the 20th anniversary of Earth Day, and was premiered in Times Square by the Paul Winter Consort and special guests.
Earth: Voices of a Planet was commissioned for the 20th anniversary of Earth Day, 1990, and was premiered in Times Square at the Earth Day New York events by the Paul Winter Consort and special guests. Featuring the voices of spotted owl, elephants, uirapurú (musical wren), Australian lyrebird, European blackbird, and Weddell seal calls.
Using kaleidoscopic combinations of human and other animal voices ranging from the familiar to the exotic, Winter leads us into eight of Earth's critical environments, and brings us into contact with that spirit."
