Eddie Chin (born Yung Fook Chin, 3 November 1948 – 25 June 2023) was a Singaporean-born Malaysian-American-British musician who was bassist with the British rock and pop band The Tourists. [1]
We are sad to bring you the confirmed news that Edi Chin, the bass guitarist from The Tourists has passed away at his home in New Orleans at the end of June. Edi was a highly talented musician who made significant contributions to the band The Tourists.
By 1976, they had recruited bass guitarist Eddie Chin and drummer Jim Toomey, and renamed themselves The Tourists.
Tras el fracaso de este primer lanzamiento, el grupo cambió su nombre por The Tourists e incorporó al bajista Eddie Chin y al baterista Jim Toomey. Con estos cambios, el grupo marcó el inicio de una etapa muy productiva que en apenas dos años les llevó a grabar tres álbumes y a lanzar media docena de sencillos de éxito.
