Irene Louise Rosnes (born 24 March 1962), known professionally as Renee Rosnes (/ ˈ r iː n i ˈ r ɒ s n ɛ s / REE-nee ROSS-ness), is a Canadian jazz pianist, composer, and arranger.

It then explodes into a hard swinging up-tempo number that conjures the chaotic busy-ness of the New York City jungle, with Chris Potter and Renee offering hard hitting and inventive solos, like two acrobats on a tightrope. By contrast, the title track, “Kinds of Love,” is a paean to compassion—to empathy.
The repertoire included the standard orchestral works of Bach, Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Debussy, Ravel, Shostakovich, Nielsen, and many others. Rosnes's favorite orchestral pieces included the Shostakovich Fifth Symphony, the Ravel Afternoon of a Faun, and works by the Danish composer and violinist Carl Nielsen.
Upon moving to New York from Vancouver, Canada in 1985, she quickly established a reputation of the highest regard, touring and recording with such masters as Joe Henderson, Wayne Shorter, Bobby Hutcherson, JJ Johnson, Buster Williams and James Moody.
