Peterhouse is the oldest of the Cambridge colleges (founded 1284) and over the past seven centuries our community has made a contribution to the wellbeing of society quite disproportionate to our size.

Peterhouse is the oldest of the Cambridge colleges, founded by Hugo de Balsham, Bishop of Ely in 1284 and granted its charter by King Edward I. The College is a Registered Charity, no. 1137457.
Located in the tranquil farming community of Marondera (a mere 70km from Harare), Peterhouse is widely regarded as Zimbabwe’s top independent boarding school and one of the premier independent schools in Southern Africa.
Peterhouse admits about 80 undergraduates a year and welcomes candidates in all the courses offered by the University except Education; Geography; Land Economy; Psychological and Behavioural Sciences; and Veterinary Medicine.
Just 5 minutes’ walk from the city centre, Peterhouse is an exciting and friendly place to live. It’s perfectly situated for student life – close to the arts, engineering and science faculties, but just off the tourist trail.
