Eric Estornel (born November 6, 1978), better known by his stage names Maceo Plex (/ ˈ m eɪ s i oʊ /), Maetrik and Mariel Ito, is an American DJ, techno music producer and DJ Awards winner, raised in Dallas and Miami.
Maceo Plex is on a quest to fulfill his need to inject feeling and funk into the world, and he’s already proving to be quite productive. With deep and funky works of audible engineering for the label Crosstown Rebels in the form of a full length album titled “Life Index”, a night with Maceo Plex will be one of galactic proportions.
Maceo, known as Eric Entity, at the time would start building his global audience during the late 90s rave boom. Dallas would serve as the stomping grounds to his professional carrier in dance music where he performed under his live performance alias Maetrik.
