Variations on a Theme is the debut studio album by American rock band Om. It was the first recording in several years to feature Sleep bassist/vocalist Al Cisneros. The vinyl version of the album was released on April 18, 2005. It was pressed on black, clear and clear purple vinyl.

Lo primero que hay que decir sobre este larga-duración y por extensión al resto de la discografía de Om, es que se trata de una especie de Stoner Rock/Metal sin guitarras.
Variations on a Theme establishes Om as a well-experienced band that that fans of stoner doom should not pass up. This is probably the closest you’ll come to hearing something new from Sleep and it does not disappoint.
