Musicians Institute (MI) is a private for-profit music school in Los Angeles, California. MI students can earn Certificates and – with transfer of coursework taken at Los Angeles City College – Associate of Arts Degrees, as well as Bachelor of Music Degrees in either Performance or Composition.
Founded in the heart of Hollywood in 1977, Musicians Institute (MI) is a College of Contemporary Music built on the idea that musicians should teach—and learn from—other musicians in a creative, supportive environment.
Musicians Institute offers a full range of degrees and a wide variety of areas of concentration in the field of contemporary music, from Associate of Arts to Master of Music. We also have non-degree opportunities of study, including Certificates to our a-la-carte option, MI Select.
