  1. The Cavendish School was a secondary school in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire that first opened in 1959 as a grammar school, becoming a comprehensive school in 1970. It was named after the University of Cambridge's Cavendish Laboratory. The Cavendish School closed in 2018 and reopened as Laureate Academy.

  3. We are excited to announce that The Cavendish School will be open from Autumn 2021. To begin with, we will be admitting 10 Year 7 students from September 2021 with an additional 30 Year 3 - 6 students from January 2022.
