Such Gold is an American punk rock band from Rochester, New York, United States, currently consisting of Ben Kotin on guitar and vocals, Nate Derby on guitar, Jon Markson on bass and vocals and Matt Covey on drums.
Vocalist Ben Kotin seized the opportunity to fill the void on guitar which sparked a new creative element in the band, and a musical push into new territory. Kotin, guitarist Nate Derby and bassist Jon Markson recruited drummer Matt Covey (formerly of Shai Hulud) to re-develop Such Gold as we know them today.

By the time Such Gold released their second album, The New Sidewalk, in 2014, the group had a new lineup; singer and guitarist Ben Kotin and guitarist Nate Derby were joined by new bandmates Jon Markson on bass and Matt Covey on drums.
