31 de may. de 2024 · Phoenix, Arizona metalcore act The Word Alive is down one more member, as lead guitarist, backing vocalist, and founding member of the band, Zack Hansen, announced yesterday on Instagram that he intends to step back from the band. Here’s what Hansen had to say:
The Word Alive was founded in 2008 by Craig Mabbitt (lead vocals) with Zack Hansen (guitar) and Tony Pizzuti (guitar) who were former members of the bands Clouds Take Shape and Calling of Syrens.

30 de may. de 2024 · The Word Alive guitarist/programmer/vocalist Zack Hansen has taken a leave of absence from the band, issuing the below statement today, May 30th, on the matter: “As of today — with respect to my family, friends and fans I will be stepping away from The Word Alive to handle some personal issues and to take the time necessary to focus on myself.
La banda se inició como un proyecto paralelo del nuevo vocalista de Escape The Fate, Craig Mabbitt, junto a Nick Urlacher, Dusty Riach, Tony Aguilera, Zack Hansen y Tony Pizzuti, estos dos últimos miembros fueron de la banda Calling of Syrens. TWA realizó su primer concierto junto a Greeley Estates.
