In a press release for Healer, Benjamin Homola was listed as the band's new drummer. Ahead of the tour, the band was certified climate positive by the United Nations, the first band in the United States to gain the certification. On March 10, 2021, Grouplove released the single "Deadline" along with a music video for the song.
