Joseph William Utsler (/ ˈ juː t s l ər /; born October 14, 1974), known by his stage name Shaggy 2 Dope, is an American rapper, record producer, DJ, podcast host of Shaggy and The Creep Show, and professional wrestler. He is part of the hip hop duo Insane Clown Posse.
Joseph Utsler, better known by his stage name Shaggy 2 Dope or 2 Dope (early ICP days) is one half of the horrorcore rap duo Insane Clown Posse. Shaggy 2 Dope is also a producer.
Formed in Detroit in 1989, ICP's best-known lineup consists of rappers Violent J (Joseph Bruce) and Shaggy 2 Dope (originally 2 Dope; Joseph Utsler). Insane Clown Posse performs a style of hardcore hip hop known as horrorcore and is known for its elaborate live performances.
As an artist, Utsler is known for drawing the Wicked Clownz (1994) comic book one-shot, the covers of several ICP albums and his solo EP Fuck Off!, and the Hatchetman. Utsler is also a DJ and turntablist, and showcases his cutting and scratching on ICP albums and Soopa Villainz ' Furious album.
