The American School in London (ASL) is a private, independent school in St John's Wood, London, England, for students from kindergarten through high school. ASL is accredited by the Department for Education and The Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.

ASL is an independent, college-preparatory, K-12 day school, providing an exceptional American education in the heart of London. Our diverse student body of approximately 1,425 represents 75 nationalities and speaks 65 languages, and families join us from all over the globe.
ASL was founded in 1951 by Stephen Eckard, an American journalist and teacher, who served as Headmaster for 20 years. The School began with 13 students in Eckard's flat in Knightsbridge. Today, we are more than 100 times the size with 1,350 students.
The CIS and MSA-accredited, international, non-profit American School in London with 1,350 pupils, ages 4-18, offers American core curriculum and 24+ AP courses; non-English speakers accepted until grade 3.
