Robinson College is a constituent college of the University of Cambridge. Founded in 1977, it is one of the newest Oxbridge colleges and is unique in having been intended, from its inception, for both undergraduate and graduate students of both sexes.
In 2010, due to an increasing number of graduate and undergraduate programs, its name was changed back from Otterbein College to Otterbein University. It is primarily an undergraduate institution with approximately 2,300 undergraduate and 450 graduate students on the campus.

Robinson received her formal art training at the Columbus Art School (now the Columbus College of Art and Design) from 1957-1960. She continued to live and work in Columbus. Then she studied art history and philosophy at Ohio State University (1960 to 1963), Franklin University , and Columbus' Bliss College.
